Words

I write because I can’t not write. Words burn inside of me waiting to find a moment to escape onto the page. I have written a personal blog for ten years publicly and behind a paywall on Patreon and I am now continuing over on Substack, sharing my journey to becoming an alpaca shepherdess and life with the alpacas amongst many other things.

Below some links to some of my writing and where you can find it.

Book

Know Grow Flow is a fully illustrated 180 page A4 workbook with audio and video resources. Sold out in paperback you can still download it as an eBook.

Within its pages you are invited to explore cyclical living through the practice of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, providing support as you get to know your cycle, grow with your cycle and flow with your cycle.

Menstrual Cycle Awareness is the simple yet profound practice of coming to know, accept and cooperate with your cycle.

It is an invitation to reclaim the parts of ourselves and our cycles that have been personally and culturally rejected, so that you might cultivate mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

In this beautiful, informative, funny and often shocking workbook, Carly shares her personal experiences, the biology behind our cycles, and the inspirational work and words of others that led her to becoming a passionate advocate for Menstrual Cycle Awareness.

'Menstrual Cycle Awareness invites us to step into harmony with our bodies and nature and in doing so we join a not so secret club where the entry fee is self-acceptance and it feels like a homecoming.'

Blog & Substack

I have written a blog for ten years. It started out as a medium through which to share my initial experiences of yoga, meditation and nature but soon transformed into more of a public journal sharing a deeply personal and transformative healing journey. Around 2020 I felt a desire to shift from sharing publicly to sharing within the containment of a private Patreon community and have since moved to Substack.

It took me a lifetime to claim my title as a writer which is ridiculous because it's the main and most continuous thing I've done all my life. I have kept a journal since I was ten years old and have always written poetry, stories, songs, letters, blogs and streams of consciousness.

It is the place I turn for processing, insights, healing, holding, venting, creating, connecting and channeling inspiration.

Writing has always been there for me and helps bring me back home to myself. I often find myself writing things I would struggle to share out loud and then questioning why I do it but the responses I receive every single time remind me how important it is to share for those of us who feel the call.

When we see a piece of ourselves in the story of another it helps us to feel a little less alone.
